Bit of a short show this week, as the tower gets taken out by lightning (or something) less than an hour in, leaving the second half of this streaming audio file nothing but loud static. But, oh, that first half. You get the entire "Extended Opening Set©" ... but don't get to hear me ramble on at it's conclusion, alas.

I do want to send this week's show out to Pete Quaife of the Kinks and Crispian St. Peters, both of whom passed away recently and I belatedly paid small tribute to them each in this show, but did not get a chance to mention them on the air. Mark: the DJ, the guy with the mouth, in more than one way.
Sexually frustrated and a portrait in barely contained violence.
He was making the decisions, but is he really in control?

E.O. Set: the old standby, rigid in form but full of surprises. Everything he did might not always make sense, but somehow it always ended neatly.
How long could his lucky streak go on?

Mellow Set: younger sister to E.O. and an independent spirit.
Beautiful yet often dreamy and introspective, she had a way to make a man see the softer side of life. Her rejection of E.O.'s lifestyle is a source of friction.

Nathaniel: born with more style than the Duke of Windsor, but his time was up. He left behind many clues as to his infectious talent, however, as you shall hear.

Forgive me for being so late, but I found myself in a framus, caught between a dish and a glass, without iron, hopped up and smacked down but full of purpose. I got myself patched up and now it's back to business as usual. And the caper wasn't without reward, for all of us. I recovered the entire contents of a fascinating radio show from all the way back in 2008. Well, maybe not "fascinating" but maybe sorta what you would call displaced. It's all that 60's and 70's stuff, played straight ahead like it was the new sound, not for laughs or nothing!Garage, soul, folk, blues, acid rock - a whole 2 hours of the stuff.

Suicide Squeeze
